Twinkle is Officially For Sale

I am officially putting my little doe CBF Ent's Twinkle Lil Star for sale. This is another one of those hard decisions to make but I need to make it. Mostly for my own sanity and it is one of those sales that makes sense. I have mom, 1/2 sister and daughter.
She is a fairly correct little doe who is not a bad FF milker (on 1 day test she did 1.2lbs of milk
which I know doesn't sound like much but considering she's only 43 days fresh and 15 mo in comparison to some of the other does who were on test.) Her dam milked 3.8lbs of milk at 47 days fresh as a 3 year old. Joie has now unofficially earned her milk star in ADGA(AGS is official) Twinkle's udder looks better than her mom's in attachment and is just as easy to milk, her teats are bigger and she is very friendly.
I am asking $300 for her. Her 2 month old daughter is available as well and I am asking the same price for her. She is solid Chocolate with a white slash on her side and a few white spots on her belly. I can do a package deal for the two of them if someone wants.

Another Hard Decision.

After a lot of thought about this I have decided to put my precious Twinkle up for sale as well. I will get pictures and post them of her. I have thought long and hard about this for about a week and beyond just my wanting her I cannot think of a single reason why I shouldn't sell her right now. I do not need the extra work, I don't really need the milk as I have Priss and Joie. I don't need an extra mouth to feed and she's a good doe. I am keeping her mom, her half sister, and her daughter. As much as it hurts I believe this is the right decision, right now since I am opting to have the surgery to have the nodule out. I am going to miss that pretty little girl. She is so sweet and really is a lovely First Freshener. She reminds me of a little gazelle she is so dairy. I also see improvement in her over her mom who I love dearly and can't part with. It is with a very heavy heart that I am going to put her out there with a lot of prayer that someone who will treasure her like I do will see her and want her. Tomorrow after I get pictures I will officially post CBF Ent's Twinkle Lil' Star for sale.

CBF Ent's Twinkle Lil Star

Today was the day we WORM, VACCINATE for CDT and BoSE, TRIM HOOVES, and TRIM UDDERS and backsides on all the girls. Poor girls didn't like all the attention they were getting today and plus - they look terrible. We are in the midst of a warm spell and by golly the girls are SHEDDING!!!! But I had work to do so I did it. LOOK the baby bump is growing on Malina (go back to P is for Pregnant Goaties post and compare!!!! )
Twinkle wasn't too happy with this day - can you tell?

OOOH, look what I found when I trimmed - a little udder!!!!! SO CUTE. I think this little missy has some nice teats though you can't really see them very well here.

AH there they are!!! I can't wait to see what this little FF udder looks like when she's all full of milk. YIPPEE!!!!

K is for KIDS and KIDDING SEASON

Kidding Season is bar none my favorite time of year here at CBF Nigerians. I love seeing each new kid make his or her entrance into the goat kingdom and I so love eating breakfast while watching the kids all play, running, bounding, jumping and cavorting around. NOTHING is as cute as a baby Nigerian. These triplets are out of CBF Seredipidy's Laikla and CBF Entei (Stinker Belle, Wendy and Peter Pan residing at Camino Allegre)
This is Malina aka Twinkle Lil Star. She is here at CBF getting geared up for her first kidding.

This is Shakespeare - cute little wether who went to a 4H family here to show.

Dixie - princess of the universe (LOL!) She is quite content after having her fill of milk and a good soft bed to sleep in. Dixie is one of our most playful goats here at CBF - even now with her pregnant belly she is often found on the slide or little climbing toy. She'll probably be up there playing with her kids when they come!!!!

Two of the Triplets (Malina makes 3) This is Crash and Racer who now reside at Lauging Orca Ranch as Mudd Pie and Moon Pie. I so wish I could post more baby pics - I have tons. But these will have to do until kidding commences at CBF (March 1, 2009 is our first due date!)
Our philosophy here is to be there in case we are needed but we prefer a pretty much hands off approach. I stay in the kidding barn until the last baby is cleaned up and I can get their bellies done (dipping cords) and I make sure they are nursing well then it is time for momma and babies to bond. Of course we can't help but be out there as much as possible, who can resist lavishing attention on these adorable babies!!!! AS such, our dam raised babies usually wind up being more like bottle raised spoiled lab goats. Oh well, I can think of worse problems to have.
Thanks for peeking at last years kidding season- come visit us again in March - May when our babies all show up for spring!!!!

BREEDING SEASON

Now that the shows are over and we have a moment's rest from sales, shaving, and showing we are beginning to think through our fall lineup. This is the pair I have pictures for. This is Flying Goat Jazzy Blues at 7 mo and CBF TWinkle Lil Star at 5 mo. They will be bred in late Oct or Early November for spring kid crop. My first two doelings are already reserved and we are considering taking ONE more doe kid reservation as we will be breeding 3, possibly 4 does.
El Cerro Wind in the willows will be leaving us soon for a new home - she will be sorely missed as she has done CBF Nigerians proud with two outstanding and wonderful daughters. Janice - I hope she produces some outstanding offspring for your farm as she did for ours. Jazzy will be available for service to CAE free does beginning in Sept.

Nizhoni's Joie de Vivre

This is Nizhoni's Joie de Vivre. She placed 1st in the Freshened Yearling class as a 2nd freshener. She was also invited back for the Best Udder in Show class. Her and the 2 other yearlings who were invited back were still beat out by a much older doe who was made a Master Champion yesterday (3-29-2008). She also placed 2nd in the PM show. Thank you for showing Miss Joie for me Darlene. She will go on a one day milk test April 19.

Can't wait to get some numbers on this little beauty. We have high hopes for her little daughter as well - CBF Ent's Twinkle Lil' Star
