Goat Milk Soaps.

One of the things we do around here to make some extra hay money for the goats is to make and sell Goat Milk Soaps. This is a batch of curing Cucumber Soaps. We do several scents here at CBF. Thanks to our girls who work extra hard to provide
fresh creamy milk for our table and our soaps we are able to make soaps nearly year round.
Typically we sell out during christmas season though I am making batches continually so will have soaps shortly again. Our scents include: Lavender, Lavender Oatmeal, Lavender Eucalyptus, Spice (Cinnamon/Clove/Nutmeg), Cucumber, Jasmine Green Tea, Clary Sage Flax, Tea Tree Oil, Pure and Basic (no scent/no colorant), Strawberries N Creme. We are planning on coming out with some new soaps in 2010. One thing we will be doing is a Gluten free/Corn Free soap. A person request from Dear Hubby who is gluten intolerant and has a corn allergy. Did you know that your skin absorbs what you put on it? So folks with sensitivities can have reactions to the things they put on their skin!!!! YUCK! We also use all natural ingredients in our most all of our soaps including Mica for colorants and mostly essential oils. WE do use a few "scent" oils in our soaps so if you choose one of those scents - they aren't all natural! Please bear with us as we transition to even better ingredients. Because we care about what YOU put on your skin!!!!

Another Hard Decision.

After a lot of thought about this I have decided to put my precious Twinkle up for sale as well. I will get pictures and post them of her. I have thought long and hard about this for about a week and beyond just my wanting her I cannot think of a single reason why I shouldn't sell her right now. I do not need the extra work, I don't really need the milk as I have Priss and Joie. I don't need an extra mouth to feed and she's a good doe. I am keeping her mom, her half sister, and her daughter. As much as it hurts I believe this is the right decision, right now since I am opting to have the surgery to have the nodule out. I am going to miss that pretty little girl. She is so sweet and really is a lovely First Freshener. She reminds me of a little gazelle she is so dairy. I also see improvement in her over her mom who I love dearly and can't part with. It is with a very heavy heart that I am going to put her out there with a lot of prayer that someone who will treasure her like I do will see her and want her. For Sale - Doeling

This little peanut is temporarily being called Tinker Bell due to her very small size. Despite her tiny stature, she is one of the widest babies out there in the back end. I so wish I could keep them all but I have to restrain myself. My daughter Aly picked out one she loves and I have my sights set on another doe (but that is another post)

Tinker Bell is a Chocolate buckskin with only a white topknot. She is out of CBF Ent's Whistling Dixie and Piddlin Acres H Calm the Storm. Strait legs, Level topline and wide escutceon area is what I'm seeing out of this little doe - She is being partially bottle fed as her mom just isn't making enough for all three babies = She's a little fiesty thing tho, when the other mom's aren't paying attention she just goes up and nurses. PLUS she's getting 4 bottles per day. I believe she will make someone a very precious doeling with her fiesty attitude and she's a snuggle bug to boot!!!!

Oberhasli's are HERE!

This is a little late (two weeks actually) but we are welcoming CBF Shadow and CBF Butch Cassidy.
Shadow is the first pic and Butch the second. They are some of the nicest Oberhaslis we've had so far. Beautiful perfect color, Nice long backs. Both are for sale for $100 (buck intact). IF Butch is not sold as a wether by 6 weeks he will be wethered and up for sale for $50. Nice calm personalities and quiet. Amazing. Their dad is the son of a National Grand Champion and their mom is my mega milker. Last year we were getting 1.25 gallons per day and she is a three year old 3rd Freshener.

CBF Entei FOR SALE

CBF Entei is officially for SALE. As much as we adore this boy we need to pass him on to another herd. He had done an excellent job of getting our two seniors settled (likely with multiples as both girls are already getting quite big). Willow was sono'd with twin for sure and more likely as her fluid level was high. He's hopefully settled my friend's two senior does and I still own his sister so he won't be used around here much. We are also reserving a new buckling for spring from Rancho Esperanza. I am so excited about bring a son of my favorite buck ever DesertNanny HB Jack Sparrow in here. He has some of the genetics I've been wanting (AND Then some!!!!) and all of the look I've been wanting. If he repeats himself on the breeding that's first choice we will again be doing mini Oberhaslis. WE are very excited about the babies due in February. All of Willow's will be available but we will likely retain a doeling out of Joie de Vivre. Hoping for some beautiful, wide escutcheon, nice width/depth, dairy babies from these pairs and the udder genetics should be something! IF you are interested in Entei, please email me.
